On March 28th 2024, I performed a short solo set at my Free Range Concert Series. I utilized geometric shapes on the fretboard as a launching point for these improvisations. This performance was not recorded with the intention of being released; the intention was to further develop these concepts and record an ep at a later date. As it happens, life goes on, various gigs and other creative pursuits distracted me from this project. Months later I sat down and listened to this set and found it to fit my original intentions of this project. My relationship with this original idea has faded, and the concepts have made their way into my music in a way that I did not originally plan. I am pleased with this recording, it captures a moment in which I am working out these concepts in real time and reaching for something new in my playing. I hope you enjoy this recording, and all of its imperfections.
